How often should I clean my shower screen?

To keep your shower looking clean, shiny and stain free we recommend that you clean your shower screens and tiles once or twice every two weeks.

How can I maintain my treated glass and tiles?

Avoid harsh toxic cleaners. There are several simple environmentally friendly methods that you can use. Clean the surfaces once a fortnight using water mixed with a mild detergent and a damp microfiber cloth. You may prefer to use a mild acid or ammonia free window cleaner. Alternatively, a simple wipe down should easily remove dirt, soap scum, hard water build-up and contaminants.

Is the coating silicone or teflon based?

No. Unlike silicone, teflon and siloxane impregnators that can wear off over time our coatings use nano-technology attaching to the surface at a molecular level.

What is the best way to clean my shower screen once it has been treated?

It is not necessary to use harsh cleansers or toxic chemicals to maintain the pristine appearance of your treated glass or tiles. Once per fortnight use a damp micro fiber cloth with a mild detergent to clean the treated surface.  If you prefer, use a mild acid or ammonia free window cleaner. Alternatively, a simple wipe down should easily remove dirt, soap scum, hard water build-up and contaminants.

Will the coating crack, peel or discolour over time?

No. The coating is invisible and only a few nanometres thick. It does not behave like a lacquer or varnish. Rather, it attaches itself to at a molecular level to the treated surface.

Will the coating gradually wash off over time?

No. Unlike silicone based products that can wear off over time, EziCleen's Advanced Surface Treatment operates at a molecular level attaching itself permanently to the surface.

Will detergents damage or remove the coating?

No. We recommend using liquid detergents since they will not damage the coating. We do not recommend using rough, gritty or abrasive cleaners as it could remove molecules of glass resulting in scratching.

Will the surface ever become patchy?

No. The coating is transparent and is only a few nanometres thick. It does not change the appearance of the surface. If the surface is damaged due to abrasive cleaners or scratching, that damaged area will become harder to clean. The unprotected surface can easily be repaired by cleaning and re-spraying the affected area. The new molecules will bond directly to the untreated area without affecting already treated surface.

Can I apply Ezicleen's Advnced Surface treatments to my old shower screens?

Yes. If the screen is not heavily stained, a surface treatment will prevent further staining and make it easier to keep clean. If your glass is badly stained, it is probably permanently stained. In this case, you will not be able to remove all the cloudiness from the glass. We recommend requesting our glass restoration treatment followed by our once only surface treatment to protect your glass permanently.

How long will the shower glass and tile surface coating last?

EziCleen's Advanced Surface Treatments underwent substantial testing. Accelerated lab tests exposed treated shower screens and tiles to the equivalent of ten years of cleaning. The results indicated that there was negligible or no change to the molecular structure of the coating. That means no damage and gleaming shower screens for years to come.

Can the coating be applied to exterior glass surfaces?

Yes. The coating is UV stable. It will not break down under exposure to the elements.

Do I still need to seal the tiles after the EziCleen Adanced Surface Treatment?

No. The coating seals the surface, acting as a stain resistant protective barrier thus creating an easy to clean surface.

Can the EziCleen Advanced Surface Treatment be applied to tiles that have already been sealed with another product?

No. EziCleen's Advanced Surface T needs to be applied to untreated glazed tiles in order to properly bond with the surface of the tile.

Can you apply the Ezicleen Treatment to my toilet bowls?

Yes. The molecules are permanently bonded to the surface of the toilet and are impervious to water. The bristles on a toilet brush are not strong enough to scratch the surface.
